Sara M. Lotts, CPA - President and Chief Operating Officer
Sara is a CPA with over 15 years of experience in the accounting and tax fields. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (with a concentration in Accounting) from the Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University, Sara worked within the proprietary school industry. There she assisted in converting dated processes into current accounting software. She was the leader in establishing reliable financial statements for the purchase of nearly 30 schools across the United States and further trained personnel at the locations in the accounting software. During this process, she discovered her passion in educating clients in accounting and the importance of history by numbers. Sara joined WJ Gordon & Associates in 2007 and has developed a niche for small business record keeping automation, preparation of timely and reliable financial statements coupled with an educational analysis using the statements to assist in managing the business. She continues to fill the void small and closely held businesses find within their accounting process by providing a proactive approach in managing the business and tax planning. Her proactive concepts assist business owners in understanding their financial statements while having access to a sounding board to substantiate and execute goals.
Kristy L. Gordon - Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
Kristy graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 2003 and began her career in the property and casualty insurance industry for two years. She then spent seven years assisting credit managers and business owners in securing their receivables through the material man's and mechanic's lien laws of the United States and Canada. Her prior roles have given her great experience in working with business owners to help create Data Management processes which help them to effectively execute their business models. As an owner at W.J. Gordon & Associates, Kristy’s role is to create and maintain positive working relationships with clients by understanding and creating solutions for their individual and business needs. She leads our office in the ever changing tax environment to ensure returns are thorough and timely with deadlines. Kristy also assists in executing the proactive approach to our small business clients.
Stacey L. Keyser - Senior Account Executive and Tax Associate
Before joining W.J. Gordon and Associates, Stacey worked in the retail management industry. This experience has given her a unique understanding of her clients and their day to day operations. She excels in developing streamlined accounting solutions that help in achieving her client's individual goals. She enjoys working in this client-focused environment and forming strong relationships with you, the client, in order to ensure that the your needs are met. As a tax associate, Stacey works diligently to stay up to date on the ever-changing tax landscape and is our firm's local/municipal tax specialist.
William J. Gordon, Jr. CPA (Bill) - Recently retired
W.J. Gordon & Associates was owned and operated by William J. Gordon, Jr., C.P.A since 1978, until his recent retirement in 2022. He specialized in assisting small businesses and his clients with accounting and tax matters. Bill earned his law degree from Cleveland Marshall School of Law and his undergraduate degree, BSBA in Accounting, from John Carroll University. Prior to W.J. Gordon & Associates, Bill was tax counsel to a shopping center developer, practiced law as a prosecutor in Lorain, Ohio and served as a manager for the IRS Audit Division in Cleveland and Lorain, Ohio. Bill furthered his financial and accounting career at Seaboard Finance, Ford Motor, and General Motors.
Tina Gordon – Recently retired
Tina served as the Legal Secretary and Office Manager since 1980, until her recent retirement in 2022. With her pleasant personality, Tina oversaw the office. Her experience, wisdom, and keen knowledge of both law and accounting principles were an essential ingredient for our success. Tina assured everything was accurate and complete before it left the office and that all tasks were accomplished timely. Tina is the wife of William J. Gordon, Jr. and they reside in Solon. They are active members and Eucharistic Ministers at St. Rita’s Parish for over 40 years. Bill and Tina are very proud of their 6 children and family, including their 11 delightful grandchildren. Tina enjoys traveling, gardening, slot machines, going to the movies, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.
